First round of Year 12 offers released
THE Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) has released more than 15,100 Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) offers to Year 12 students today.
SRS offers are based on criteria other than a student’s ATAR, such as their Year 11 results and ratings from their school.
Kim Paino, Interim Managing Director, UAC, says: ‘With exams now complete, many students will welcome this news. Receiving an SRS offer will ease the pressure on their final results and their reliance on their ATAR.’
A recent study has shown the benefits of early entry offers to students – and no downsides to their final year outcomes. The strongest predictors of students’ final year results are factors such as prior learning, motivation and effort.
The next major offer round for Year 12 students will be ATAR-based and released on Monday 23 December.
Students will receive their ATAR at 9am on Wednesday 18 December and will need to change their course preferences by 11.59pm on that day to have them considered in this offer round.
Read What to do if you received an SRS offer for advice on what to do next, or contact UAC’s customer service team on (02) 9752 0200 Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
