ATARs released – finalise your course preferences today
WITH ATARs released today, 2024 HSC students now have all the information they need to carefully consider their university options.
The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) expects around 20,000 students will update their course preferences today.
Here are the key steps to take:
Check last year’s selection ranks
- Visit UAC’s website to review course descriptions and selection ranks of the courses you’re interested in.
- Selection ranks include adjustment factors, so don’t be discouraged if last year’s rank was higher than your ATAR. You may still be eligible for entry.
Change your preferences by 11.59pm on Wednesday 18 December
Don't leave it to the last minute. Changing preferences is quick and easy:
- You’ll need your UAC application number and UAC PIN.
- You can list up to five preferences, with any combination of courses.
- You can add, delete, or rearrange your preferences as many times as you like.
List your preferences in order of priority
- Put the course you want most at the top, followed by your next choice in order of preference.
If you need help changing your preferences, watch this step-by-step guide.
For advice about changing your preferences call UAC Customer Service on (02) 9752 0200 from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with extended hours until 6.30pm on 18 December.
Make sure your preferences are finalised in time for December Round 2 offers and take the next step toward your university future.
