Applications for uni still going ahead
DESPITE the uncertainty around COVID-19, applications for uni in semester 1, 2021 will still open today through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
While many Year 12 students are worried about the impact COVID-19 will have on going to uni, it’s important that they continue with their studies and their plans for next year. UAC will work with universities, NESA, schools and other stakeholders to ensure that students can still get through Year 12 and reach their goals.
For students not in Year 12 looking to start a uni course mid-year, applications for semester 2, 2020 courses are also open. Many unis are offering remote learning opportunities for students in place of face-to-face lessons so that students can continue to progress in their chosen course.
UAC has published a response to COVID-19. Further updates will be available on UAC’s website as information comes to hand.
