Griffith University recognises a number of English language tests as proof of English language proficiency. These are set out in the following tables, together with the minimum results required.

PTE Online, IELTS Online, TOEFL iBT home edition and OET@Home tests are not assessed.

*During 2020 and 2021, when COVID-19 necessitated the closure of some English test centres, Griffith University accepted additional English language proficiency tests and changes to test validity for entry to standard programs. We are continuing to accept flexible English language test options for applicants in China, Hong Kong and Macau, recognising the ongoing impact of COVID-19 responses on test venue access. This flexibility will remain in place until test centres are widely accessible.
