Thousands of students are off to uni

MORE than 38,000 hopeful university applicants can rest easy over the Christmas break with the release today of December Round 2 offers for study in 2020.

Applicants were able to log in to UAC’s website or the My UAC app at 7.30am to view their offers.

UAC General Manager of Marketing and Engagement, Kim Paino said, ‘The pre-Christmas offer round ensures that offers are made to as many students as possible and as soon as possible, so they don’t have an agonising wait to find out if they’ve got into a course.

‘It also gives students extra time to consider their future options. Many courses still have vacancies so anyone who has missed out on an offer, or missed out on their favourite course, needn’t be disheartened, they'll have the opportunity to change their preferences for January offers.’

There are several more offer rounds to come, and applicants have until midnight on Sunday 5 January 2020 to change preferences to be included in January Round 1 on Friday 10 January.

And if they haven’t applied yet it’s not too late – applications for study in semester 1 are open until Friday 7 February. More information is available on UAC’s website.
