More offers for uni in 2024

HOPEFUL applicants have another chance of securing a place at university in 2024 when UAC releases a further 14,706 offers in January Round 1 today.

Applicants will receive their offers via email from 7.30am and can also view their offer by logging in to their application. Details of the lowest selection rank for entry into each course will be provided on UAC's website. Institutions will also indicate whether or not each course is likely to still have vacancies.

We’ve compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about January uni offers to help applicants navigate their next steps.

The next offer round (January Round 2) is on Wednesday 24 January. Applicants need to finalise their preferences for that round by 11.59pm on Wednesday 17 January.

UAC Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer Kim Paino says it’s an important time for students finalising their plans for this year.

‘Congratulations to those students who have received an offer and are looking forward to starting uni. For those who have missed out, I’d encourage them to look at courses that still have vacancies for the next offer round and also think about all the other pathways available to get to university and study their preferred course.'

For those who haven’t applied, it’s not too late, with applications for first semester study open until midnight on Friday 2 February.
