More early offers to come for Year 12s

11 Oct 2022

APPLICATIONS for UAC’s early offer scheme – known as the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) – closed on 19 September, receiving 24,417 applications. Offers have not been made through SRS yet, the figure of 24,417 is for applications received not offers.

SRS offers will be emailed to successful applicants on 11 November.

Kim Paino, General Manager of Marketing and Engagement said, ‘There’s obviously been a lot of media interest in early offers and most Year 12s are rightly utilising all the pathways available to them. SRS offers are not made until after the exams but are still considered early offers as they are not based on ATAR and instead use Year 11 results and recommendations from a student’s school about their suitability for university study. These offers are a useful alternative to ATAR and help ease the pressure on students, but we continue to encourage students to complete their HSC to the best of their ability.’

Even though SRS applications have closed, there’s still time to apply for university next year. Applications for the first ATAR-based offer round in December close on 10 November.

Applicants can apply on UAC’s website.
