Final days to secure the early bird fee for 2026 applications

TIME is running out for students planning to start university in 2026 to take advantage of the early bird application fee. Applications through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) must be submitted by 11.59pm on Tuesday 30 September to secure the discounted processing charge.

Students who are still weighing up their study options are encouraged to apply before the deadline. Lodging an application now locks in the lower fee and they can change their course preferences as often as they like, free of charge, right up until final closing.

Applications for semester 1 study remain open until Friday 6 February 2026, but the cost of applying will rise after the early bird fee deadline.

By applying early, students can keep their options open, avoid the higher fee and take pressure off as they finalise their study decisions.
