About
With a Bachelor of Cybersecurity (Industry Degree Academy), you’ll develop specialist skills in securing systems and programs from digital attacks. You will be equipped with the knowledge to identify, manage and respond to emerging cybersecurity threats and challenges to keep businesses secure.
The embedded IDeA cadetship is exclusive to UTS and integrates both study and employment with a partner organisation. This cadetship will see you work with government and industry, gaining vital hands-on experience in a rapidly expanding profession. The cadetship program spans three years and allows you to earn while you learn and integrates work with study.
The IDeA cadetship is only available to domestic students and recent school leavers.

Essential requirements for admission
This is a cadetship course intended for current school leavers, although applications are accepted from post-school applicants who have completed Year 12 one year prior to application provided they have not started a university degree. Applicants must submit a Bachelor of Cybersecurity – IDeA application to both UAC and UTS.
Applicants must demonstrate technical potential and motivation for the program. Students are then chosen for interviews, and final selection is based on the result of the interview and their ATAR.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.

Assumed knowledge: Mathematics Advanced, any 2 units of English.
Recommended studies: Mathematics Extension 1, English Advanced.
