Managing is not simply about making something efficient or getting organised to make it more productive. At UTS, we see managing as part of an essential role in earning public trust in providing what's needed in the public good. And that's a completely different take on the conventional ways of thinking.
At its core, management is about strategising, leading people and organisations to achieve business-critical goals — but at UTS, it’s so much more. In the Bachelor of Management, you’ll gain fundamental skills in management and marketing, emerging as a strategic and critical thinker with the skills to influence others.
With five majors on offer (Digital Creative Enterprise, Events, Sport Business, Sustainability and Social Enterprise and Strategic Innovation and Entrepreneurship), plus a vast assortment of second majors, sub-majors and electives from across UTS, you can create a tailored qualification — and a future career path — that reflects what’s important to you.
Course content has been designed in partnership with industry, which means it’s practically focused, professionally accredited and reflects the realities of the contemporary business world. You’ll study in a convenient location alongside Sydney’s vibrant CBD in the heart of Tech Central, Australia's largest technology and innovation hub, where you’ll be surrounded by leading innovators in your field. And you’ll work with them, too: with an internship subject and offshore partnerships via the UTS exchange program, you can apply your skills in real-world contexts.
Partnerships with industry bodies allow students to engage with practical projects, field visits, in-class case studies, and internships, all of which assist with prospects for graduate employment. Our curriculum will prepare you for ethical, sustainable and future-focused business practice that has the power to change the world for the better.
Events: Master the design, development and delivery of events in a range of political, economic and social contexts and prepare to work at all scales, across and between sectors, and in Australia and beyond.
Sport Business: Get down to the business of sport and become an expert in the Australian and international sporting industries, ready to deploy your skills in community, national or global sporting contexts.
Strategic Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Learn to identify and develop new business opportunities within Australia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and emerge ready to run your own management business — or to transform someone else’s.
Sustainability and Social Impact: Explore the role of management in social entrepreneurship and sustainable development and prepare to become a practitioner of business — and management — for good.
Digital Creative Enterprise: Study at the intersection of technology and creativity and emerge as a master of creative intelligence and transdisciplinary practice, ready to drive innovation in the digital economy.
