This course is delivered by UOW College Australia.

The Diploma of Science provides students with access to the university experience within a supported context. In the introductory phase of this course, students will complete subjects specifically designed to assist them to develop approaches to effective learning in the higher education context. In sessions 2 and 3, students are provided with a range of experiences and opportunities to engage with key disciplinary areas including biology, chemistry and earth sciences, with dedicated support tutorials to support their success.

Successful completion of the diploma provides entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Marine Science at the University of Wollongong (UOW).

Applicants with recent secondary education

Selection rank: The guaranteed selection rank for entry to the Diploma of Science is 35.00.

Assumed knowledge: Any 2 units of mathematics.

Recommended studies: Mathematics Advanced.

Applicants who do not meet the Assumed Knowledge requirement for this course are advised to complete an additional subject - Refer to the Course Outline for further details.

Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study

If you have completed an AQF Certificate IV, AQF Diploma or AQF Advanced Diploma you will be considered for admission to this degree.
