You will reflect on social, cultural and ethical issues as you explore the endless possibilities for interdisciplinary communication and understanding.

Bachelor of Science: Agricultural adviser, biological scientist, biochemist, biotechnologist, chemist, scientific researcher, conservation biologist, ecologist, environmental consultant, forensic scientist, geologist, geochemist, geneticist, immunologist, pathologist. Bachelor of Creative Arts: Author, scriptwriter, publisher, speech writer, editor, graphic designer, web designer, multimedia work, musician, design consultant, artist, curator, exhibition coordinator, gallery director, photographer, illustrator, actor, set designer, lighting/sound technician, stage manager, director, radio and television, arts administrator and manager, teacher (on completion of further studies).
For Bachelor of Science: the following majors have professional recognition: Cell and Molecular Biology - Graduates qualify to apply for membership of relevant professional societies, such as the Australian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Australian Society for Microbiology Chemistry – Graduates may apply for membership of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute.
Ecology and Conservation Biology - Graduates qualify to apply for membership of relevant professional societies, such as the Ecological Society of Australia.
Bachelor of Creative Arts: Portfolio of work. Bachelor of Science: Field and laboratory studies at all levels, providing extensive opportunities for hands-on learning both within UOW’s modern laboratories, and in the superb marine, freshwater, terrestrial and urban environments of the South Coast and inland regions.
Available as an additional year of study to meritorious students.
Assumed knowledge: Any 2 units of English, Mathematics Advanced, any 2 units of science.
Recommended studies: English Advanced, any 4 units of science. For Music: Music 2 or Music Extension. For Visual Arts: Design and Technology and/or Textiles and Design and/or Visual Arts.
Bridging courses in Biology and Chemistry are offered in February each year.
