This combined program provides students with the opportunity to increase the depth and breadth of their study in relevant disciplines. Be equipped to make a smooth transition from the classroom to the boardroom, by acquiring skills that employers value – all while focusing on emergent issues in context specific domains within business, preparing students to think like business decision makers who understand how business analytics support the business decision making process.

The Commerce Accounting major is designed to provide accreditation with the major professional bodies in accounting, including CPA Australia, CA Australia and New Zealand, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Association of International Accountants (AIA).

Practical experience
Students will complete 140 hours of supervised placement within their third year of study that will enable them to apply knowledge developed throughout their studies and acquire new knowledge and professional networks to support career readiness. The professional experience placement course provides an opportunity to undertake workplace experience in the desired career field, including business analysis, consulting, project management, marketing, and business development.

Applicants with recent secondary education
Recommended studies: Any 2 units of English, Mathematics Advanced.
