Diagnostic radiography is an important first step to diagnosing, treating and managing injuries and disease. Through the Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Honours) (Diagnostic Radiography), you will learn how to use sophisticated technology to create medical images and analyse and manage patient health to save and improve lives.
During your degree you will have access to the latest diagnostic radiography technologies through placement opportunities and on campus, in our world-class, purpose-built, health sciences precinct. The range of imaging technologies used in your degree and well into your career include plain x-rays, computed tomography (CT), fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, angiography, and mammography.
Entry to this program is competitive, with a limited number of available places. Typically, offers for this program are made at the end of the year, coinciding with the release of ATARs.

You will have the opportunity to complete placement in a variety of public and private settings in metropolitan, regional and rural settings across Australia.
Students are required to complete a portion of their placement in rural communities. This opportunity will give students valuable experiences not available in major cities or urban centres. Travel, accommodation, and related expenses for professional placements are the responsibility of students. However, scholarships are available to assist attendance in rural areas throughout the program.
