About
Master the foundational disciplines of bioinformatics, a field at the convergence of computing and life sciences. In this degree you will learn how to develop technologies for storing, extracting, organising and interpreting the tsunami of genetic information to which we now have access. You will gain the skills to design and implement software for activities such as identifying the genes affected in specific cancer types.
Double degrees: Bioinformatics Engineering can be combined with 425560 Bachelor of Fine Arts, 425850 Bachelor of Arts, 425850 Bachelor of Science, 425900 Commerce, 426000 Bachelor of Laws, 429330 Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) (Hons), 429350 Bachelor of Advanced Science (Hons) or 425950 M Biomedical Engineering.

Applicants with recent secondary education
Assumed knowledge: Chemistry, Mathematics Extension 1.

Portfolio Entry: Early Conditional Offer Scheme: This degree is eligible for the Portfolio Entry Early Conditional Offer Scheme. Students are required to submit a video and personal statement conveying their motivation and passion towards studying Engineering, Computer Science or Food Science.
