Practical experience

On campus: The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) integrates theory with real-world practice through UC's Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities to get you future-ready. UC provides diverse WIL options, including industry case studies, guest speakers, internships, work placements, industry projects, competitions, exhibitions, study tours, virtual experiences and more.

You’ll undertake hands-on marketing practice using both hypothetical and real-world scenarios, including the development of strategic and international marketing plans, blogs and online presence audits. Previous marketing students have undertaken internships across a range of sectors, with organisations such as The Q Theatre, forty2 Edventures, Kicks Entertainment, Canberra Cavalry, Workspace 2580, Get it Sorted, CBR Innovation Network, Entry 29, and the Brumbies.

Online: Online students can access virtual WIL opportunities. This content includes on-demand guest lectures, industry case studies and industry projects.

Students studying both face-to-face and online will have access to support services, including Careers UC, who are available to assist with employment pathways and personal development.

Note that internships and the International Business Study Tour options require either in-person placement hours in a business or on an overseas study tour and are not offered wholly online.

Fees and charges

The Australian Government subsidises the tuition fee for this course. The remaining balance is paid by the student. Current UC fee information.
