If you are looking for a pathway into a primary or secondary teaching degree or if you've been thinking about a degree in teacher education but not sure if it’s right for you, then the Undergraduate Certificate in Education could be the right solution. 

Study a series of introductory units that will teach you how to facilitate the development and learning of young people. Throughout the course, you will gain the foundational knowledge and skills required in the education profession and the Australian education system. You will study the theoretical perspectives in key learning areas of literacy, science and mathematics. 

After successful completion of the course you will have the knowledge and skills required to confidently step into the education environment in a variety of rewarding roles. Alternatively, you can continue with your studies and complete a bachelor degree qualification, with full credit for the units you have completed.

This flexible short course can be completed in as little as 4 months full-time or 9 months part-time and is fully online so you can study at your own pace, in your own time.

Assumed knowledge: ACT: English and Mathematics T (C minimum pass). NSW: Any 2 units of English plus Mathematics Advanced (Band 4).
