The Diploma of Health Science provides a thorough understanding of how the human body functions as well as access to a broad range of electives which provide key knowledge and skills for use in a variety of healthcare professions, allowing you to tailor the course to suit your desired career.
It also covers the foundations you need for further study in the Bachelor of Health Science specialising in Nutrition, Naturopathy and Western Herbal Medicine. Graduate with the academic and practical skills for further study or a rewarding career in the broader complementary medicine and healthcare industries.
With successful completion of this diploma, you can receive credits for the subjects you complete and gain entry into the second year of a Bachelor degree.

Biological foundations, complementary medicine foundations, evidence based practice, foundations of public health, human structure and physiology, understanding health.
Clinic administrator, nutritional advisor, pharmacy assistant.
You will have the opportunity to complete a non-compulsory Work-Integrated Learning placement in electives Food Science, Systems and Policy, or Botany and Herbal Manufacturing. This placement will support you to establish a connection with the industry and help you to prepare for employment opportunities upon graduation. Upon graduation, you are eligible to attain Associate Membership with the Complementary Medicine Association (CMA).
