The Bachelor of Interior Design (Commercial) will explore the theoretical and practical elements of designing and making commercial interiors – branding, lighting, sustainability and materiality – to create environments that meet your client’s needs. You will discover how commercial interior-design strategies are developed and assessed, as well as practical industry-based management skills, such as documentation, contract management, professional design practice and cross-disciplinary interaction.
Using industry standard software, you will build the skills to communicate information that’s relevant to designing, costing and constructing interiors, and find out how to represent spatial environments. The course engages you in contemporary theory and provides an overview of the leading interior-design trends and a look towards the future.

Work placement hours: Approximately 90 hours
