About

This double degree provides graduates with foundational knowledge in psychological science and human behaviour as well as the professional, critical thinking and communication skills to run their own business.

The Bachelor of Psychological Science provides the first three years of study and training for a range of careers that require critical thinking and an understanding of human psychological factors. Many graduates pursue postgraduate training to become registered psychologists who provide clinical services, while others work in psychological research or other community settings.

Students will also study a financial services specialisation from the Bachelor of Business. The financial services specialisation teaches students how to provide sound and unbiased financial advice to clients and organisations and to be career-ready for a number of diverse roles such as financial planning, superannuation and retirement planning, investment and wealth management, insurance, estate planning, tax and corporate finance.

Financial services. Analytical skills in solving human, organisational and community-wide problems; competency in research; an understanding of statistical methods.

Professional recognition

Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accreditation for entry to postgraduate training.

Completion of this degree plus additional postgraduate study in psychology is required to apply for conditional registration as a postgraduate intern in psychology in Australia.

Double degree/Combined degree
The University offers double degrees in law with business, arts, or psychological science, double degrees in business with arts, engineering or information technology, as well as a combined degree in exercise science and psychological science. When you complete a double degree, you are awarded two separate degrees (eg Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts). Combined degrees are multidisciplinary and when completed you are awarded one single degree that has two disciplines (eg Bachelor of Exercise Science and Psychological Science).
