There is strong demand for qualified early childhood educators. This degree gives you a three-year qualification to work in early childhood settings with children from six-weeks-old to six-years-old.
Core units cover early childhood principles and practices, and also include literacy, language and pedagogical approaches for early childhood education. Issues in contemporary education, leadership and management, and health and wellbeing in the early childhood environment are core content areas.
Some online units require attendance at on-campus workshops.
Teacher education courses: All students enrolled in an initial teacher education program must complete and pass the benchmarking Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education during the course of their studies.
