Our accredited Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Global Studies is an immersive and flexible double degree giving you the skills and knowledge to succeed in a complex world. Your law degree will introduce you to the fundamentals of legal practice and build your skills in negotiation, dispute resolution and ethical decision-making. At the same time, your global studies degree will immerse you in a wide range of global issues.
When it comes to learning, there's no substitute for hands-on experience. At La Trobe, you'll have the opportunity to take on real-world work placements and shape your studies with a choice of five curated majors – international relations, conflict and negotiation, Asian politics and security, government and policy, and human rights.
Asian politics and security, Chinese studies, conflict and negotiation, French studies, government and policy, Greek studies, Hindi studies, human rights, international relations, Italian studies, Japanese studies, law, Spanish studies, sustainability and development.
Foreign affairs, humanitarian advocacy, barrister or solicitor, in-house legal counsel, policy analyst. This course satisfies the academic requirements for admission to practise law in Victoria.

During this course, you will have the opportunity to participate in a Work Based Learning (WBL) placement experience, designed to allow you to extend your formal academic learning beyond the classroom. The WBL experience will provide the opportunity to bring your learning from the university into a work environment and test out your knowledge in a professional real-world environment.
