About

In this double degree, you’ll gain a strong foundation in the physical and biomedical sciences, as well as practical business and management skills and knowledge. You’ll develop an understanding of how both our bodies and the sports industry work and will undertake a professional practice placement as part of your degree that will give you an opportunity to put your skills and knowledge into practice. This integrated program provides students with the skills and competencies for professional sports management. Students gain a thorough understanding of exercise science and the governance of sport. The program combines a strong foundation in the physical and biomedical sciences with business and management studies. Foundation studies include physiology, anatomy, biology, psychology, business decision making and the purpose of business, followed by advanced studies in exercise psychology, anatomy, biomechanics, neuroscience, and sport management.

For Business: Business analytics, events, human resource management, innovation and entrepreneurship, management, marketing, sport management, tourism and travel.

You may find opportunities in sports and recreation management, sports science and high-performance management, events management and recreational club management, and in both the public and private sectors. Assumed knowledge: Any two units of English (Band 3); One of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics Advanced.
