About

Learn to apply the science of exercise to develop interventions that improve human health, fitness wellbeing and performance by studying this degree. Exercise scientists apply their knowledge at the individual, community and population levels to build healthier, happier societies.

Graduates of the program are eligible for accreditation through Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA), as an accredited exercise scientist. They use skills and knowledge in the physical, biomedical and psychological sciences required to treat injury and disease, and help people live healthy, fulfilling lives unencumbered by physical ailments. Interventions include education and the promotion and implementation of appropriate physical activity or exercise. As part of your degree, you will undertake professional placement to learn the role of exercise in health maintenance and rehabilitation.

Applicants applying to commence in Trimester 3, 2023 also need to meet the following subject prerequisite: Any two units of English (Band 3).
