Courses included
In this degree, you’ll explore health issues, using a combination of disciplines to understand how different areas of human biology and environmental factors relate to health and disease. If you’re interested in health and medical sciences, but not sure which area you want to specialise in, the Bachelor of Health Science is one of the most flexible and innovative programs of study in the future of health. It is grounded in chemistry, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, genetics and microbiology. With a wide range of electives including nutrition, climate change and toxicology and majors including information technology and communication and media, this degree enables you to design a program of study that suits your interest and aims, whether that is launching your career or further postgraduate study.
Note: The University is moving to withdraw both the Environmental Health and Environmental Toxicology majors in order to reflect and realign with student demand for major preferences from recent years. While the university is in the process of withdrawing these majors, and it is envisaged that they will be withdrawn soon, they have not been removed from degree information at this point. However, given the intent to withdraw them, they can no longer be chosen as majors in the Bachelor of Health Science.
