This course includes studies in a broad range of technology fields to prepare students for a career as a secondary school technology teacher.
Teaching (secondary) in design and technology, and one of the following: agricultural technology, food technology, industrial technology, information technology (computing). Textiles technology or graphics and multimedia are available with food technology and industrial technology majors. The option of concurrently enrolling in a B Educational Studies (direct application to Charles Sturt University) for an additional high school teaching area is also provided.
Teacher in government or non-government secondary school in Australia or overseas.

Extensive professional experience teaching in a variety of secondary schools in rural, regional and/or urban settings.

Questionnaire: Applicants are required to answer four questions about their motivation and suitability for teaching. Preview the teaching questionnaire.
Assumed knowledge: Three Band 5 results, including English, in the NSW HSC or equivalent. Charles Sturt University courses are designed and accredited with alternative entry as all students undertake core discipline studies equivalent to three Band 5 results, including English and mathematics, before undertaking curriculum and professional studies.
Recommended studies: Mathematics Advanced. For Agricultural and Food Technology strands: Chemistry.
Minimum ATAR: 65.00.
