With Charles Sturt University’s Bachelor of Psychology, you will explore human behaviour while gaining an understanding of people's wellbeing. You will acquire knowledge across a range of key areas of psychology practice, including cognition, developmental and social psychology, psychological testing, biopsychology, psychopathology, personality, learning theory and research methodology.
In addition to the compulsory psychology subjects, you will also complete a minor study in another discipline to enhance your study experience. Minors are available in a range of related disciplines, including business, history and politics, justice studies and social welfare. A broad choice of psychology electives are available, including Psychology of Crime, Health Psychology, Psychology of Substance Abuse, Psychology and the Legal System and Psychology of Stress and Trauma. You may also have the opportunity to complete a supervised experience at an international university.

Our four-year Bachelor of Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as a four-year sequence of study in psychology. Further study and training will be required to pursue your career as a registered psychologist.
The Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) may also be used as a pathway to the Bachelor of Psychology for students who do not meet the initial entry requirements, as the ATAR (or equivalent) for entry is lower.
Psychology and a minor from: Biology; English; History & Politics; Human Resources; Information Technology; Justice Studies; Law; Mathematics & Statistics; Marketing; Management & Leadership; Philosophy; Social Welfare; and Sociology.
When you graduate, you'll be ready to make your mark in a wide range of careers, including counsellor, early intervention coordinator, first step in becoming a registered psychologist, human resources manager, human services worker, research analyst.

Students who meet eligibility criteria can progress into a fourth year of B Psychology. Students who do not meet these criteria will be required to transfer and graduate with B Social Science (Psychology).
