Students in the Bachelor of Business develop the knowledge and ability to work as specialist business professionals in varied and changing business environments. The degree offers diverse core units in the first year before undertaking specialisation units, so that students have the flexibility to determine which business discipline they wish to pursue.
The degree is designed to teach students the critical reasoning, communication and professional skills required in contemporary business settings. Students gain a broad understanding of business principles through the core units, and develop skills in one or more business disciplines of their choice through the study of a single or double specialisation.

Students can take a double specialisation in:
Business accounting, business communication, business economics, business law, business strategy, corporate responsibility and ethics, management principles, marketing principles, organisational behaviour, quantitative methods.
Depending on your specialisation, you will able to seek employment in accounting, management, marketing, information systems.
Students who complete the Bachelor of Business (Accounting), subject to any course credits applied, will satisfy the educational requirements for admission to the major professional accounting bodies of CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
The fee per trimester in 2021 is $7,800. Fees are subject to change. Refer to Kent current fee information.
Year 12 studies: Sound or satisfactory achievement in all subjects.
Minimum ATAR: 58.00.
Applicants who have undertaken any higher education or any VET study within the last 10 years since leaving school may be eligible for admission to a Kent course with credit transfers (advanced standing).
For certain VET courses, Kent has approved articulation agreements in place which specify the number of course credits to which you may be entitled.
Kent understands that preparation for study is not restricted to formal educational attainment and that valuable intellectual and skills development can be gained through wide-ranging experiences. Kent will review applications on a case-by-case basis from persons of at least 21 years of age who do not have formal qualifications for entry but who seek admission to courses on the basis of their educational and skills development through experience and informal study.
Students can apply for course credit on the basis of their previous studies at Kent or any other educational institution in Australia or overseas in accordance with Kent’s Course Credit and Articulation Policy & Procedure.
