The Bachelor of Music Theatre is for performers seeking to establish themselves as major players in music theatre. You will receive expert tuition in singing, dancing and acting from accomplished theatre veterans. You will develop as the “singing actor” in tandem with specialised choreography and movement classes. Tailored one-on-one learning catered to your unique goals as a performer is supplemented by contextual studies in the history and psychology of theatre and performance.
You will collaborate on major musical productions and revues, gaining invaluable real-world stage experience. Beyond honing your stagecraft, the degree will provide you with a working knowledge of music theory. You will graduate as a multi-faceted performer with transferable stage skills that can be utilised across all the performing arts.
Acting, dance, music theatre performance, voice.
Actor, casting agent, composer for music theatre, dancer, music journalist, music theatre performer, music theatre director, performing arts teacher, stage manager, vocalist/singer, voice over specialist.
Ability to sing, dance and act is required. Previous voice, acting and dance training is advantageous however, training will be provided during your studies and is not a prerequisite for entry.

Applicants under the age of 21 must provide evidence of at least one of the following:
Applicants who are 21 years of age or older at the time of application are entitled to mature-age consideration.
Mature-age applicants may obtain entry by performing to a satisfactory level in an audition and/or digital portfolio and/or interview.
For applicants who do not meet the above criteria, admission may be granted by the Director of Academic Affairs or nominee based on a documented assessment of the applicant's overall ability to undertake the program of study and to achieve the course learning outcomes.

Applications can be submitted up to 12 months prior to your chosen start date, which means that you can complete the application process at a time that works for you.
Current Year 12 students can submit their application and potentially receive a Conditional Offer to study with AIM before their Year 12 exams. Conditional Offers require the student to provide evidence of successful completion of HSC Year 12 (or equivalent) as stated in the Admission Criteria upon receiving their results at the end of the year.
