The Bachelor of Music - Arts Management is for creative artists who want to develop artistically and learn how to manage their own music career, run a music-driven company or manage other artists. During the dual-focus degree, you will take music units with our accomplished music mentors and have access to industry experts for artistic guidance. You will also study the business essentials including entrepreneurship, economics, marketing, business planning, digital promotions, publishing, organisational behaviour and music law. You will learn to communicate effectively with industry professionals, think laterally and build the knowledge and skills to explore a range of music career options.
Arts and entertainment management, contemporary music, ensemble, marketing and general business management, music theory, performance studies (in your chosen instrument).
Career opportunities: Independent artist, entrepreneur, A&R manager, artist manager, booking agent, concert promoter, festival promoter, event manager, marketing manager.
Ability to either play an instrument, sing or basic skills in music composition.

Applicants for the Bachelor of Music degree programs are required to audition and must prepare two contrasting items. These may take the form of:
Applicants for Bachelor of Music – Arts Management should include at least one analytical essay
Applications can be submitted digitally. Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
Applicants under the age of 21 must provide evidence of at least one of the following:
Applicants who are 21 years of age or older at the time of application are entitled to mature-age consideration.
Mature-age applicants may obtain entry by performing in an audition and/or submitting digital portfolio and/or attending an interview.
For applicants who do not meet the above criteria, admission may be granted by the Director of Academic Affairs or nominee based on a documented assessment of the applicant's overall ability to undertake the program of study and to achieve the course learning outcomes.

Applications can be submitted up to 12 months prior to your chosen start date, which means that you can complete the application process at a time that works for you.
Current Year 12 students can submit their application and potentially receive a Conditional Offer to study with AIM before their Year 12 exams. Conditional Offers require the student to provide evidence of successful completion of HSC Year 12 (or equivalent) as stated in the Admission Criteria upon receiving their results at the end of the year.
