You will receive a strong grounding in computing fundamentals to tackle the progressive nature of technology. IT is an intrinsic part of all industries, so knowledge of software development and information systems is highly sought after by the best employers.
Students starting the course in July may not be able to complete all majors in the minimum time.

Co-Curricular or Service Experience (Year 12 or IB applicants only): The Co-Curricular or Service Experience requirement has been removed from the application process for 2025 admissions. This change will make ANU more accessible to Year 12 students looking to join ANU. You don’t need to submit any additional documents regarding this change.
ACT: Mathematical Methods (major). NSW: Mathematics Advanced. Students without these prerequisites may be eligible for entry, subject to undertaking the ANU Mathematics bridging course.
Minimum selection rank: 80.00. Due to the competitive nature of our admissions process, we cannot guarantee entry to applicants who meet the minimum selection rank for their preferred program.
