The Bachelor of Accounting is designed to develop your knowledge and skills in reporting, analysing and managing financial resources in business and government entities. The degree also offers flexibility for you to study in related disciplines of your interest, including finance, business information systems, management, marketing, international business and corporate sustainability. You will be equipped with the ability to critically analyse emerging accounting issues, and be inspired by research that provides you with insights into issues underlying the accounting field, thus fostering your academic and professional competence. At the conclusion of this program you will meet the education requirements for membership of the Australian accounting professional bodies.

Financial accounting, financial controller, financial analysis, business analysis, management accounting, budgeting, consulting, auditing, taxation, business and government entities.
Depending on the subjects completed, the general educational requirements for membership to a number of professional bodies may be satisfied, including the CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Available as an additional year, subject to admission requirements.
The Australian Government pays part of the tuition fee for this course. The remaining balance is paid by the student. Information about ANU student contributions.
Co-Curricular or Service Experience (Year 12 or IB applicants only): The Co-Curricular or Service Experience requirement has been removed from the application process for 2025 admissions. This change will make ANU more accessible to Year 12 students looking to join ANU. You don’t need to submit any additional documents regarding this change.
Minimum selection rank: 80.00. Due to the competitive nature of our admissions process, we cannot guarantee entry to applicants who meet the minimum selection rank for their preferred program.
