The Bachelor of Political Science is the only dedicated political science degree in Australia. The ANU has some of the world's finest political scientists, and was the only Australian university to receive a 5 (“well above world class”) in both of the Excellence in Research for Australia reports. Located in the national capital, the ANU is the only university with a right to place interns in Australian Parliament House. Essential requirements for admission
Co-Curricular or Service Experience (Year 12 or IB applicants only): The Co-Curricular or Service Experience requirement has been removed from the application process for 2025 admissions. This change will make ANU more accessible to Year 12 students looking to join ANU. You don’t need to submit any additional documents regarding this change.

Minimum selection rank: 85.00. Due to the competitive nature of our admissions process, we cannot guarantee entry to applicants who meet the minimum selection rank for their preferred program.
