A Master of Inclusive Education offers the skills needed to support people with additional needs in a range of settings, including early childhood, primary, secondary and post-school. If applicants are qualified to teach in either primary or secondary school, this program is recognised by the NSW Department of Education as a Special Education teacher for K-12.
This three-year part-time program is delivered online and on-campus. A four-day-intensive teaching session is held in January and July each year, with an additional mid-semester one-day workshop.
Having a postgraduate (Level 8) qualification in education or a related discipline, allows applicants to apply for up to four subjects Advanced Standing, where studies can then be completed in two years.
Undergraduate degree, or higher, in teaching/education that leads to a professional teaching qualification. An undergraduate degree in teaching includes the historical 2–3 year Diploma of Teaching/Education prior to 1987.
