This program has been developed to meet the education and development needs of contemporary sonographers.
Our students benefit from our blended learning model, which combines online and face-to-face learning, together with experience in a clinical practice. Support by industry partners ensures that learning involves experience with state-of-the-art imaging equipment. It enables students to develop the theoretical, practical and professional skills, together with the research proficiency required for the advanced practice of cardiac sonography.
Admission criteria
- Undergraduate degree in natural and physical sciences or health. Applicants with an undergraduate degree in another discipline will be considered for admission if they can demonstrate more than 12 months’ full-time work experience in medical imaging.
- Applicant must secure a minimum of three days a week work (training) in cardiac sonography. Written verification of work (training) must be provided to the University by commencement of the program.
Applicants must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.
