The Master of Building Surveying provides professionals with the knowledge and expertise to access and evaluate building regulation laws and make recommendations for alternative building solutions.
It caters to the professional’s need to understand performance-based building regulations and fire safety principles. It provides an understanding of building regulations within states and territories and how alternative solutions are developed using the National Construction Code. Western Sydney University’s building surveying programs have nearly two decades of history and are well recognised by the building surveyor profession and industry for meeting the changing building regulatory environment.
Undergraduate degree, or higher, in building surveying, construction management or construction management (honours), civil engineering, construction technology, housing, quantity surveying, planning, architecture, project management (construction) or bushfire protection.
Undergraduate degree, or higher, in building surveying, engineering, or construction management (honours) and two years’ full-time equivalent professional work experience as an accredited building surveyor.
Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.
