Completing one of the four trimesters of the Master of Creative Industries, the graduate certificate provides a strong pathway to the master’s program.

The Graduate Certificate of Creative Industries offer a progressive, learning experience like that of no other. With the benefit of no defined discipline specialisations, we'll guide you to select modules that meet both your individual creative and professional aspirations.
Admission criteria
Applicants must satisfy one of the following entry requirements:
- Completion of a Bachelor degree from a related field issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF); OR
- Successful completion of a Bachelor Degree from an unrelated field issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), as well as demonstrated skills and expertise relevant to the course discipline.
Additional selection criteria
- Evidence of qualification.
- CV detailing skills and expertise in media production (with links to online portfolio/showreel).

Experience based entry
SAE recognises that learning may be acquired from both formal study and professional experience. Applicants without a Bachelor degree can apply for Experience Based Entry to the Graduate Certificate and, on completion, apply to transfer to the Graduate Diploma or Master. Applicants will need to demonstrate at least 5 years of documented relevant work experience related to media production with evidence of artistic ability and achievement or practice comparable to that of undergraduate degree holders in relevant disciplines, combined with the successful completion of year 12 or higher.
