Chiropractors have the unique privilege of being able to positively impact people's lives through the provision of natural and non-invasive healthcare methods. They have a deep understanding of the body's structures and how each interact to affect our health. Using spinal adjustments, manipulation and other physical means to improve neuromusculoskeletal function, chiropractors can help us live healthy and active lives.
The rigorous Master of Chiropractic will prepare you for a rewarding career in one of the largest primary health professions. The degree emphasises evidence-based practice, protection of the public and the provision of exemplary care to patients. As a graduate, you’ll be able to deliver chiropractic care safely and competently, and you’ll be equipped with the full diagnostic and clinical management knowledge and skills you’ll need to work in private practice, chiropractic sports medicine, allied health areas, health insurance assessment, medico-legal advising, work health and safety, rehabilitation and research.
The standard program of study is three years full-time in length or equivalent part-time.
However, if you are entering with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science from Macquarie University, your program of study is two years full-time in length or equivalent part-time.
Human Anatomy, Human Neuroanatomy, Human Physiology, Human Pathophysiology, Human Pathology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Human Biochemistry, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Psychology, Human Neurophysiology, Physics, Human Biomechanics, Human Exercise/Sports Science, Human Health related discipline.
Clinical exposure in a health-care setting.
Limited Commonwealth-supported places (CSP) are available for this course and will be awarded on academic merit. Eligible applicants who are not offered a CSP will be recommended for fee-paying (FEE) places.
