About

These programs provide a broad introduction to the health sciences, with opportunities to specialise in one or two of the following areas: health promotion, health services management, recreational therapy or public health.

Diploma in Health Science Extended – Clinical Sciences, Health Promotion, Health Services Management, Therapeutic Recreation or Public Health (Bachelor Pathway): Successful completion of the Diploma will provide students with 1 year credit and admission into the Bachelor of Health Science program.

Diploma in Health Science/Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Sciences Health Promotion Health Services Management Public Health or Recreational Therapy): Successful completion of the Diploma will guarantee entry into the second year of our Bachelor of Health Science program.

Areas of study

Health promotion, health services management, recreational therapy, and/or public health. Students who choose to enrol into two specialisations increase their areas of expertise and employability.

Career opportunities

Work in not-for-profit foundations, health departments, community organisations, aged care facilities and schools.

Essential requirements for admission

For extended courses: Entry is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents aged 17 years or over.

Admission criteria

Applicants with recent secondary education

Minimum ATAR: For integrated and standard diplomas: 55.00.

Assumed knowledge: Any 2 units of English.
