About
In our Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours), you’ll develop expertise in a range of engineering specialities, and be prepared to create efficient, sustainable and innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
You’ll learn the technical aspects of geotechnics and hydraulic systems, develop strong foundations in structural and transportation engineering, and explore the possibilities of multi-disciplinary engineering fields.

Practical experience
During this course, you will participate in one or more compulsory supervised work-based learning (WBL) placements designed to allow you to practise newly acquired skills, behaviours and knowledge while integrating theory with practice. Prerequisites
One of English Advanced (Band 2) or English as an Additional Language or Dialect (Band 3) plus Band 2 in one of Mathematics Standard 2, Mathematics Advanced or Mathematics Extension 2.
Admission criteria
Applicants with recent secondary education
Subject adjustments: Applicants who successfully complete one of the following HSC or equivalent Year 12 subjects will have their selection rank increased by one point per study:
- Band 3 in Mathematics Extension 2.
- Band 2 in Engineering Studies, Physics, any language other than English.
Selection ranks can be increased by a maximum of five points.
