About
In our Bachelor of Criminology/Bachelor of Psychological Science, you'll explore the close connections between crime, the human mind and the broader social context. You'll study the complex causes of crime, how to develop innovative responses to real problems and specialised topics such as policing, sentencing and corrections, youth justice and victimology.
You'll also study the core areas of psychological science, from biological foundations to social influences on affect, behaviour and cognition, as well as gain a strong training in research methods.

Clinical, educational, organisational, developmental and forensic psychology in organisations that form part of, or operate in association with, the criminal justice sector. Including police, corrections, and government (justice policy and human services).
Practical experience
During this course, you will have the opportunity to participate in a Work Based Learning (WBL) placement experience, designed to allow you to extend your formal academic learning beyond the classroom. The WBL experience will provide the opportunity to bring your learning from the university into a work environment and test out your knowledge in a professional real-world environment.

Admission criteria
Applicants with recent secondary education
Subject adjustments: Applicants who successfully complete one of the following HSC or equivalent Year 12 subjects will have their selection rank increased by one point per study:
- Band 3 in Agriculture, Ancient History, Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Geography, Legal Studies, Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 2, Modern History, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE), Physics, Society and Culture, Studies of Religion II;
- Band 2 in any language other than English.
Selection ranks can be increased by a maximum of five points.
