Statistics opens the door to understanding our world through the exploration of data and the modelling of uncertainty. What's more, statistics is critical for every discipline in which data plays a role, and in responding to the world's biggest challenges, such as climate change, terrorism, health and medicine, and global economic conditions.

Essential requirements for admission
Co-Curricular or Service Experience (Year 12 or IB applicants only): The Co-Curricular or Service Experience requirement has been removed from the application process for 2025 admissions. This change will make ANU more accessible to Year 12 students looking to join ANU. You don’t need to submit any additional documents regarding this change.

Minimum selection rank: 80.00. Due to the competitive nature of our admissions process, we cannot guarantee entry to applicants who meet the minimum selection rank for their preferred program.
