The Bachelor of Laws fulfils the academic requirements for admission as a lawyer in Australia. Applicants who do not have the required entry mark are encouraged to apply for 339160 Bachelor of Business. If they achieve the required grade point average during this course, they can then apply for transfer into the double degree.
This double degree is also available online. Attendance at on-campus workshops is a requirement for all students.
Core units cover extensive range of law-based units. In the Bachelor of Business, majors include: aviation management, business and data analytics or entrepreneurship and innovation; or a specialisation in accounting or financial services (Gold Coast only).
Barrister or solicitor in Australia and overseas (with further qualifications), and in private, corporate or government organisations; entrepreneur, marketing or human resources professional, accounting professional, financial adviser (if relevant specialisation chosen).
Fulfils the academic requirements for admission as a lawyer throughout Australia. Professional admission authorities also require graduates to complete practical legal training to be eligible for admission. Accounting specialisation accredited by CPA Australia, Financial Services specialisation accredited by FASEA.
Recommended studies: English Extension 1 or 2, a business subject.
