The Diploma of Psychological Science is a pathway program that will prepare you to transition into the Bachelor of Psychological Science or Bachelor of Counselling. Healthcare is evolving and managing mental health is a prominent part of health and wellbeing. In this program, you'll learn foundational knowledge and valuable transferrable skills, as well as how to apply them.
You'll study in a supportive environment, setting you up for success in your future studies. You will study courses covering interpersonal and counselling skills and research methods and statistics, providing the foundations you need for higher study. Learn from experts in psychology, with courses taught by researchers contributing to some of Australia's most important projects at our Centre for Mental Health, addressing issues from youth mental health to parenting and family Interventions. You'll also receive world-class student support including Peer Assisted Study Sessions, run by high-achieving students.
Society and Culture.
On completing this diploma, you'll have taken the first steps towards being prepared to work in mental health, community, educational, organisational or forensic settings. Your skills could be used in recruitment, career counselling and social research. Your transferrable skills will prepare you for work in a range of professional roles in consultancy, counselling, law, management, social work and public health.
