Play your part in protecting the natural world with the Diploma of Environmental Studies from Charles Sturt University – Australia’s first certified carbon neutral uni. Dip your toe into the world of environmental sciences and get the knowledge and skills you're after, with the flexibility to study on campus or online.
While you begin with study focused on understanding the theories and foundational knowledge that underpins environmental science, you will progress to get the technical skills and theoretical knowledge required to find solutions to complex environmental problems through real world problem solving, lab sessions, field study and professional practice.
You have the flexibility to undertake your study with us either on campus or fully online. Our undergraduate certificate can also be your guaranteed entry path into our Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management.
Environmental science, including conservation biology, earth science, ecology, environmental issues, human interactions with the environment, Indigenous and cultural heritage.

You could be involved in conservation and land management, environment and sustainability, recycling and waste management, or the provision of green products and services.
Students who choose to continue their studies and gain a bachelor's degree may become involved in project management, strategic planning, policy development, and research in these same areas.
