Professional sports teams and athletes place great emphasis on technology and data in their quest for success and victory, so there’s never been a better time to study sports analytics. This flexible one-semester, online course will teach you to collect, analyse and interpret sporting data generated from a range of systems. You’ll evaluate the data using cutting-edge performance technology, transmit interventions, and communicate your findings via visual, textual and verbal channels to different audiences.
Delivered by academics currently active in Australia’s high-performance sports environment, you will gain contemporary, evidence-based training to assist coaching staff develop tactics and appropriate training loads and achieve individual and team performance goals.
At the completion of your course, you will be a confident user of the data and video analysis technology needed to interpret sporting performances and will have developed firm ideas about how to produce a winning team. You can apply for International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport (ISPAS) accreditation and will be officially ready to become a champion in the field of sports analytics.
Applicants must hold a completed bachelor degree.
