Thousands of students rest easy with early uni offers

MORE than 42,000 hopeful university applicants can rest easy over the Christmas break with the release today of December Round 2 offers for study in 2018.

Applicants were able to log in to UAC’s website or My UAC at 7.30am to view their offers.

This is the first time bulk university offers for Year 12 students have been released before Christmas and UAC is the first tertiary admissions centre in Australia to give students extra time to consider their future options. All courses still have vacancies and students will have the opportunity to change their preferences for January offers.

UAC General Manager of Marketing and Engagement, Kim Paino said, ‘The pre-Christmas offer round ensures that offers are made to as many students as possible and as soon as possible, so students don’t have an agonising wait to find out if they’ve got into a course.’

There are several more offer rounds to come, and applicants have until midnight on Wednesday 3 January to change preferences to be included in January Round 1 on Friday 12 January.

And if they haven’t applied yet it’s not too late – applications for study in semester 1 are open until 5 February. More information is available on UAC’s website.
