Top 10 most in-demand courses for 2021
Year 12 students from the class of 2020 are settling in to university and their preferred courses through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) are in - courses in Health and Management and Commerce are, once again, the most in-demand.

The medical courses most applicants placed as their first preference were the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at UNSW, followed by the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine joint medical program at the University of Newcastle and University of New England.
The Doctor of Medicine joint program at Western Sydney and Charles Sturt University, and Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Newcastle were the other medical courses that featured in the top 10.
The Bachelor of Business at the University of Technology Sydney was the third most in-demand course and UNSW Sydney’s Double Commerce degree and the University of Sydney’s Bachelor of Commerce also made the list.
Ever-popular Arts degrees also grabbed positions with the University of Sydney’s Bachelor of Arts and combined Arts/Law rounding out applicants’ most popular first preferences.
