ACPE achieves top honours for Teaching Quality

24 Dec 2020

When choosing an education provider it is important to look at the factors that will contribute to your success as an undergraduate student. The academic environment and the level of support you will receive as you adjust to higher education are critical to your success. In the 2019 Student Experience Survey (SES) data, ACPE is ranked as the top independent provider of specialist education in the domains of Sport and Dance in terms of teaching quality in the First and Final Year of study2. This hard-earned reputation for quality in teaching and learning started more than a century ago. Since 1917 we have been committed to educational excellence and an outstanding student experience across our range of specialist degrees across Sport, Health, Fitness, Education and Dance. ACPE continues to out-perform larger institutions on all the Quality Indicators of Learning and Teaching (QILT) data.

There have been wide reports about universities retrenching staff as a result of downturn in international student mobility. ACPE is contrary to this trend – with one of the most favourable academic staff to student ratios in Australia, students are guaranteed easy access to academics, close supervision, and support. At ACPE we know you by name, you are never just a number – we are with you every step of the way to nurture your potential. We are committed to the provision of transformative, personalised, and a supportive learning environment. As a smaller provider, our smaller class sizes, extensive resources and close knit community provide a quality experience.

In the 2019 Student Experience Survey for Student Support3 ACPE ranks in the top cohort of education providers with a ranking of 88.3% which is 12.2% higher than the national average. ACPE has a ‘students first’ policy, and our core business is to support our students by providing timely seamless access to resource-based learning. You will also have access to a dedicated team of specialist support staff we know what it takes and we are with you every step of the way.

ACPE’s graduates can expect to be ahead of the pack due to the opportunities they are offered through our extensive industry partnership network. Our graduates perform well in an increasingly competitive job market and are highly regarded by employers in the industry, both locally and internationally. Our overall employment rate (across all degrees)4 is 90.1% which is 3.8% higher than the national average. This places ACPE in the 9th position nationally on this key indicator. Our most recent graduating class in the Bachelor of Education degrees have all secured employment despite the pandemic.
