About

You will immerse yourself creatively, critically and practically when you study a double degree in creative arts and communication and media at UOW. This double degree will equip you with the dynamic skills in creative thinking, effective communication and problem-solving skills that are required for high achievement in a range of careers.

Discover how producers and consumers interact in a media-saturated world andhat drives the digital economy. On completion, you will be able to address these challenges and more as you are prepared for global careers in digital and social media, visual communication design, journalism, screen media production, marketing communication, advertising and PR.

You will benefit from teachers who are leaders in their fields as you enjoy a vibrant and progressive approach to learning. You will connect hands-on studio production with critical reflection as you build a strong foundation in the global communication and media industries. Develop a sound knowledge of contemporary arts, art theory and history within Australia and abroad as you reflect on the social, cultural and ethical issues surrounding the context they operate in. You will carve out a career of your choice and gain highly competitive skills in a global workplace as you complete common theory and practice-based work complemented by individual majors. Throughout this double degree, you will gain hands-on experience and make meaningful professional connections.

Applicants with recent secondary education

Assumed knowledge: Any 2 units of English.

Recommended studies: English Advanced. For Music: Music 2 or Music Extension. For Visual Arts, Visual Arts and Design: Design and Technology and/or Textiles and Design and/or Visual Arts.
